According to the Phoenix Business Journal, the Arizona small business community has something new to be proud of:
Tempe-based Precise Corporate Staging, Phoenix-based Duffy Group Inc. and Casa Grande-based Studio 3 Beauty Designs were recognized for demonstrating excellent business practices in several areas including strategy, employee development, community involvement and customer service.
These three businesses were given the Blue Ribbon Small Business Award by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. It’s no small feat to build a nationally recognized small business, especially in the midst of a national recession.
Those who run small businesses understand that much more than time and effort go into it. Blood, sweat, tears, sleepless nights, sacrificed family time…all of this is the mortar that holds small businesses together.
Blue Ribbon winners are eligible for two more awards: seven of the one hundred national winners are shortlisted, and one is chosen for a $10,000 prize as the “Dream Big Small Business of the Year.”
